I am somewhat new to IC and I need some advice on how to deal with flares. Does anyone have any tips? I am pregnant so I can't take medication and so lately I have been left feeling awful with no solution...I have heard of aloe vera pills and also mudd pills? Is anyone familiar with these? Any advice would help!

Some ICers feel aloe vera pills help --- my suggestion is to try the Desert Harvest ones because they have undergone some clinical trials. I am not familiar with mudd pills.
Sometimes just relaxing with the feet up will help --- and maybe an ice pack between your legs might help relax those muscles --- I use a package of frozen peas wrapped in a towel for an ice pack (we don't eat frozen peas at our house :)). Also, your OB doctor may be able to offer some help.
I hope you find something to help soon.
Warm hugs,

You can try a warm bath. I know you can't have the water too hot with being pregnant, but just warm water might be enough to help you relax your muscles and all. I love my heating pad, but I couldn't/wouldn't use it when pregnant. I like it hot and didn't want to risk it. But a warm bath is very similar. I also say talk to your ob/gyn and see what he/she suggests. Pregnancy makes you very susceptible to UTIs, so he/she might want to test you and make sure that's not making your symptoms worse.
I hope you get some relief soon. :grouphug:
