As most of you know, my sister is dying of cancer. It has spread to all of her organs except the brain and we are sure it will hit there sooner than later.

We had a beautiful day here in Michigan yesterday and she managed go get up enough strength to eat at the table and then go outside to listen to the birds and windchimes (I bought them for her cuz to to me, they sound like angels singing) It was a beautiful day and it really filled my heart.

I am doing my best to get there every day to see her because I know that shortly she will be going and I prayed that we would beable to get at least one day in the back yard and I am so very very grateful that we got it. Tomorrow I will go over and sit with her while her 10 year old grandson and husband build a ramp so that we can get her out of the patio door easier......her grandson is so PROUD that he is going to help build this for his Grammy:D

Please continue to pray for Diane and her family:pray:

Teri, You and your sister remain in my prayers. I hope that you are able to spend more days in the sun. I most especially pray that she continues to have her pain relieved. Having lost both my mother and daughter to cancer, my heart knows the pain of watching someone you love go through this.............Donna L

Teri,

Isn't it amazing in a way that the little things we usually take for granted end up having so much meaning during times like these? I'm so happy you and your sister were able to enjoy a beautiful day together and I hope you can have more days like that over the coming days and weeks. You've been handling this with such incredible grace -- the love you have for your sister is so apparent and I'm sure it means everything in the world to her right now.

Hugs to you and prayers that your sister receives much comfort and joy during her time with you and your family. God is there with you both.

Teri,
I'm so glad to hear you got the sunny day you wanted with your sister. This is a day you will treasure, I'm sure.

A good friend of mine died of Melanoma 3 weeks ago. I spent 3 days a week with her the last 3 months of her life. She was in a nursing care facility (at 46 yrs old). I'm just so thankful I had that time with her.

I've been reading your posts and you are truly an angel in being so supportive to her.

Sending prayers,
Lyn

Teri,
I have been away from the boards for a few days except for very small periods of time and am just now able to respond to this. I am so grateful you and your sister are getting this time together. I pray for more sunny days and special moments.

Sending hugs and prayers your way.

Hang in there girl, you are one tremendous rock for your sister right now and I, for one, am VERY proud of you. You have such a kind and loving spirit. I am praying for your sister as she goes through this, and those that love her for their comfort.

I sent you a message a while back that I lost a very close friend to the same cancer not that long ago, and I learned then that it is a very aggressive cancer that moves quickly. I am so glad that you are able to be with her everyday, as each day counts.

It brought tears to my eyes to think of that wonderful young man who wants to build a ramp for his Grammy, she is obviously very special to him.

Your sharing this with the rest of us I believe is a gift for all of us to remind ourselves how precious life is. It has helped me right now gain my perspective back and stop some silly personal issues that were being blown out of porportion.

Sending tons of love to you my friend in the U S of A, from snowy Calgary, May 10 and we are getting snow!
