Hi all you may recall last winter in december my daughters friend (Pregnant) was shot and killed by her boyfriend at point blank range. Her parentes had to bury there daughter on her Birthday. This is a cruel world.
I am happy to say he has been convicted for this horrific crime, and was sentenced 33 to 55 years, elgiable for parole in 33 years....
Please Keep Ashleigh Moomaw's Family in your prayers as this has tore there family and many many friends (to inclunde my Ashley) apart.....
prison time for him isn't good enough... the death penalty should be re-instated, then justace would be served.

Being fairly new to the boards I didn't know that you and your daughter had been through something so horrible... I am SO sorry :(
I am glad he was convicted... I share your opinion that even that does not make up for what he did.
Everyone involved is in my thoughts & prayers tonight...

thanks Jen,
I don't mean to be heartless really about the death penalty, it will never bring her back... but he don't deserve to live after killing her and his own unborn child.
Yes I have been thru alot since last sept thats why I haven't been on. I lost my Uncle in sept. In Dec Ashley's friend Ashley, in Jan and Feb, a great friend and ic angel Deb my neighbor and friend Dick, my Aunt, and seen a suicide, and my Grandma had a stroke, heart attack and a mental break down.... Life has not been good to me.. in all of this happening I even had to go for a mental exam for ssd for my review....
and last but not least I lost 30 lbs and gained back 40 :( :(
all in time when I am done feeling sorry for my self. I will be back

I'm really glad that guy will be off the streets. And he will have to live the entire rest of his life knowing every day what he did.
Hang in there --- there will be better days for you.

HI Cindy,
I think about you all the time. I'm sooo sorry for all you all have been through this year. You have had more than any one person should have to deal with. I'm glad he got some time. The way the justice dept. is now some lawyer will probably try to get his sentence reduced!! I pray he rots in that cell for what he did. Doesn't Mich., have the death pentely?? I thought it did. Sometimes I thick death is way to easy for something like that. Like Donna sais he will think of it everyday.........maybe!!!!
I think people like that don't have a concious.
I miss our letters. I don't get on here often at all.

Cindy,
I am glad to hear that the guy was given a reasonable sentence, even tho in your eyes it is not enough. Nothing is ever ehough for taking a human life. All we can do is ask WHY???? I am glad to see you here. I am so sorry that you have been going through such a horrible time. Seems like you have alot on your plate at the moment. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. I hope you are soon able to come back to the boards. Please remember that you are loved here.May the days ahead be filled with happiness and sunshine!:grouphug:
