If you have had at least one surgery and have had a bladder catheter instilled for more than a couple of days, please vote in this poll, I am just curious becasue it seems like the more women to talk to the more I find out there has been some kind of surgery involved and then IC stricks. It just seems to be very interesting to me, and I would like to find out how many people have had this happen to them. I myself have had 5 abdominal surgeries and the last one my colon removed, 5 weeks into my recovery IC struck with a vengeance. So please participate.

well, my response might be a little skewed. i voted for 2 surgeries with catheter. but i only had a catheter in until the next day. i've been straight cathed a few times too (a couple times right before developing the problems, and a few while trying to get a dx). hope this helps.

I've had three surgeries with catheters and wore one for 11 day one time and 12 days another time.

My IC started right after I gave birth to my last child.

When I had my surgeries, I had an indwelling catheter for seven days after, as my bladder was torn. I know it made my recovery a lot longer than normal, and did not help my IC at all. Iris.:hi: :yikes: :flower:
