Hi...Had extremely loose/weak urogenital tissues due to injuries/stress disorders. Also got diagnosed of minor IBS. Minor urine leakage started few months back which was like after dribble (urine retention in urethra). Got cystoscopy done on weak tissues (for IC) after which dull pain started in perenium area. Continued sitting on hard surfaces for hours, tolerating pain made all worse. Just figured out its not IC but extreme PFD (weak/wasted/atrophied pelvic muscles). Now even sitting on soft starts sensation in urethra, real incontinence. Resting 2-3 days is not helping. What all I should do - take long rest etc?. Any tests to assess pelvic floor weakness

Hi, Uro2010 ~

I know my doctor diagnosed me with PFD and sent me to Physical Therapy for evaluation and treatment.

Maybe you can get some help from your uro???

Hoping you have a nice day,
Ginger

Symptoms - Sensation in urethra (stinging). On sitting on hard surface, also leaks a lot and weak/dull pain in pelvic region (no symptoms when i lie down) ?. Urologist says its IC but I don't have any IC type pain or frequency at all. No relief even taking IC medication/diet. Definitely due to continous pain/contracted muscles, bladder/pelvic area is getting a lot weak. Now even sitting on soft surfaces, pain starts after sometime. Can it be Prostatitis or any other thing than IC. What tests can be done for evaluation (who can do ) ? Any advice on supplements

Any advise on cushions - I have ContourSit Wedge Cushion from relaxtheback but it is hard as my weight is less (polyurethane foam). Are soft foam IC cushions better than this ??[/B]

try pudendal neuralgia / pudendal neuropathy / pudendal nerve entrapment sites and see if any of it sounds like you - pain worse on sitting, best when lying down, better on hard surfaces than soft, associated with PFD and bladder symptoms, all sound like pudendal neuralgia. There is a forum under "related conditions" on this site about pudendal issues, and we recently had a thread with links to applicable websites.
