I just realized that I have a TENS unit I received for a back injury from a car wreck a few years back. I was wanting to try it for my IC. All of my electrodes are crusty & I was wondering where you get replacements?

Thanks,
Karma

Karma,
I also have a portable TENS unit which I wear and find it very helpful. I think that it helps for the time that you have it on and when you take if off, I can tell. Anyway, my doc said that you could wear it all day long if you want. I bought my TENS until used for a whopping 10.00 - lucky huh? Anyway, the pads were in pretty bad shape so I went to the local Home Health store. You can go to any medical supplies store and they should have them if they dont they should be able to purchase them for you. You wont believe this but I have also found new ones on Ebay and they are soo much cheaper. The woman that sold me the machine said that she sold it because the pads wouldnt stay on that they were supposed to be self adhesive. I use the cloth type medical tape and run one strip of tape across each pad when I put them on and it works fine. Hope this helps. Susan

I use a TENS mostly for my back.. I buy special little things to stick the pads on.. I get them in pkgs of a hundred or so and I can buy that at the pharmacy here but I am in Canada. I bet they have them in States too.. just ask around..
Hard to describe but they are little white squares just a bit bigger then the pads and they have a hole for the wire hook ups - there is a backing that you just pull off then you can stick it to the pad and on you--- all the best!!

Karma,

I had gotten a tens unit a few years back for my IC and couldn't find out where to get the electrodes until I told my physical therapist about it. She gives them to me for free. If you go to a physical therapist you might ask about them.

I have a T.E.N.S unit that was prescribed for leg pain. I've thought about using it for my IC. I get the little pads from the Chiropractor.
