Bad flare

I don't know what to do! My flare is so so so bad right now. I had my boyfriend go out and buy me the azo pyrideum otc tablets AND their uti testing kit just to make sure. Obv, it was negative for a UTI. I hate hate hate this disease. I don't know what to do. My doctor prescribed me Hydroxyzine until I get approval from the Elmiron company to give me free prescriptions because I can't afford it. Any suggestions? The pain is SO intense. It hurts to walk and breathe and sleep!!

Well I talked to my dr the other day and she prescribed hydroxyzine. It's helped a little but not enough. The burning is almost gone but the frequency and urgency is still there. How long do typical flares last? I am just miserable!!

Still full of pain. I talked to my urogynecologist and she wants to see me next month. Until then, I am just supposed to suck it up basically. They want me to call back on Wed and let them know how I'm doing. ugh. I don't know what to do for pain. I've tried ice packs, heat packs, drinking water and water with baking soda, tums, otc pyridium (azo and cystex), I've been tested for UTI's, and they are negative. I don't know how to control the pain anymore.

Just an update, I am sooo frustrated!

I felt so good last night and today at work. Then when I got home at 2 it just hit me like a brick again. I am hurting SO BAD. My urogynecologist wants me to come in for a rescue installation on Monday, but I have to sit through an all-day work meeting and I just got talked to by my managers for asking to leave work early the other day due to my IC flaring.

So now I have to wait until Wednesday to get it done. This just makes me so mad!!! I have sustained it this long but it isn't something I want to dealwith for another week!!!

I know how hard that is! That's similar to the coping advice I get too, though my doc does offer the rescue installation option. Hopefully, if you get an instillation on Wednesday it will bring you some relief!

I don't know what else to suggest as it seems you are already using my favorite flare remedies without success. -AZO, Baking Soda, etc. Maybe you can find something you haven't tried in this thread?....http://www.ic-network.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7562
