Mine came back as 60.06, which was the highest my alternative DR and the 3 lab techs he talked to had ever seen. My medical doctor is out of town for a while but this is really freaking me out? I can't afford to go back to the alternative DR as it is not covered by my insurance. I haven't been sleeping I just feel like my insides are gonna pop. It's misery. I mostly feel bad for my toddler, cause right now I am in so much pain I can't even leave the house. So I've been taking asprin and tumeric and ibroprofen. Anyone know of any OTC meds that reduce imflammation? My pain meds don't even work the pain is so severe. I just need to get the imflammation down.
I'd take this to a good primary care doctor that does take your insurance. That is a very high score & it's important to get it checked out thoroughly.
Aspirin & ibuprofen tend to trigger IC pain & symptoms, so those generally are not good pain relievers for us. Tylenol tends to be better tolerated by IC patients, though not by all.
I hope you can get in to see a doctor ASAP.
Wishing you better days soon,

Yeah, I will go see her when she comes back from vacation, or maybe I will call tommarrow and see what her nurse wants me to do. Oddly enough my body hates tylenol but gets relief from ibroprofen. Then again, even though I am diagnosed with IC, I am not totally sure that is what I was quite possibly exposed to dangerous chemicals through counterfeit condoms.
And thanks for your advice kadi, I was just given this information yesterday, and really didnt know where to go with it.
Thanks:)

Hi,
Anyone of those things you listed could be actually causing you more pain. Have you tried over the counter AZO? Other things you could get for pain an inflammation at the health shops (like GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, Whole Foods) - MSM, Glucosamine and Chondroitin, Calcium citrate, also baking soda in water.

I have MSM and Calcium citrate, they don't really help me, and Pyridium makes me super sick. Baking soda doesnt do squat for me. I mostly need something to take the imflammation down, this is why asprin and ibroprofen provide a little relief.

Pyridium this used to make me sick too, but I bought AZO, it is a much lower does I think 92 mg in 2 pills please read the pk as I am not too sure right now, but I am able to take one pill at a time a much lower dose than a rx. It helps and since i am taking `1/2 a dose I can take the other 1/2 a couple of hours later if needed. But before I did this I discussed it with my Dr. They say not to take pyridium for more than a few days in a row so I don't, This is not an everyday fix, but you may be albe to take it at this lower dose.
