I received the following email this afternoon.

Alyssa's autopsy came back.... cause of death was cardic myopathy with obesity. It is a natural cause of death. Her heart was enlarged, weak and had fluid around it. Weight being a contributing factor of this. So her heart basically gave out.

This does give us some closure. We were concerned her medications played a role, but this was not the case.

Hello! I'm not sure how I missed this all this time - I guess I don't check the announcement board very often. I'm so sad to hear the very sad news of Alyssa's death and also just in shock. I feel awful that I didn't see this sooner. My heart and prayers go out to her family and friends.

I somehow missed this announcement too. That is so sad. I remember Alyssa replied to my posts quite often. I wish her family well.:pray:

It is so hard when we lose someone who touched us, perhaps briefly, but still profoundly. She is missed!
