One thing that's helping me stay positive is that I'm starting some new hobbies. I used to go out all the time, but some days now I just don't feel up to it. So for those days, I'm learning crafts. I just started beading some Christmas ornaments, so that when Xmas comes this year, I'll have already made gifts for my friends & family. Am embroidering bookmarks as gifts also. And, I'm learning to make nature prints (pressing, inking & stamping flowers & leaves).

The distraction is helpful and also I don't want my 35/36th years to be just about my bladder!!! At least this way I can say, "That was also the year I learned to cook, container garden, and create pretty things."

Kadi,
Good for you! I agree that with having an interest or distraction from IC, can make all the difference in the world. I have been in a terrible flare all weekend, and haven't done one thing. I know this is not the way to live. I am also very crafty (scrapbooking, quilting, etc.), and always feel so much better when I keep busy.

Have fun with what you are doing!

 Good for you,
I think keeping busy for the most part keeps my mind busy.... Glad to hear your learning and doing all kinds of neat stuff. I am not so creative in making things. But I am very artistic with hair....:D My job keeps me quit busy. Along with my boys...
Take care,
Kelly
