Has anyone had any luck with taking more than 1500 mg. per day of glucosamine? I take that amount for my knee pain but have heard that large amounts can have a positive effect on the bladder. Any thoughts are welcome!
I am also researching this exact thing right now and am hoping you get some responses. There are different forms of Glucosamine and so I would to hear if people like one form over the other.
I want to find something to try in place of the Elmiron I just went off of. I get along good most of the time now, but just want to see if I can gain a little more.

Yes...... it can work miricales if you keep taking it. My uro put me on it years ago, it took awhile to work but when it kicked in I really could feel the difference..... GOOD LUCK!!!!
What formulation did you use, the Hydrochloride or the Sulfate?

I have been taking 1500 mg. glucosamine sulfate, 1200 mg. chrondroitin sulfate and 500 mg. MSM daily for over 2 months and have noticed a reduction of symptoms. I am also trying to cut down on acid foods. I have vowed to heal my IC this year so I am on a mission.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply. You sound as though you are on the right track! I take prelief before eating any foods as many foods have citric acid in them. Otherwise, I avoid all acidic foods just to be safe. Best of luck to you!
