What about swimming?

Hi,
I have for more than a month a lower back ache. I would like to try swimming to help my lower back but I am concerned that it can make my bladder symptoms worse. Is it safe to swim having IC?

Some ICers have a problem with swimming because of the clorine in public pools. I know I don't do well with clorine. Others don't seem to have a problem with it.

I have not had any problem with pools or the ocean, but I know some people do.

Ohhh the chlorine kills my bladder.....but backquacil (sp?) I could handle...go figure....we are all unique with our distressed bladders!;) Maybe you'll get lucky and be like vm!!
I can now handle the lake and ocean just fine.:thumbsup:

we have our own pool i need to get it ready LOL.,but i find swimming very relaxing and helpful it doesnt hurt me either way.
well that was years before i hope it doesnt hurt me this year Who knows with these ic bladders what will happen next. but so far so good here.

So far I have been able to swim with no problems. The weather is not nice enough here yet but I will see how it goes this year.
