23-year-old Christian boy badly tortured for two nights by the Muslim extremists for not accepting Islam.
A Christian boy named Javed Anjum badly tortured by Muslim extremists for two nights who came to Toba Tek Singh (is a city of Punjab state in Pakistan) to see his relatives from Quetta (the capital city of Boluchistan state).
He was up set for his household problems (poverty) for this reason his family and relatives think that he is not a normal person. He is doing his college studies B. COM in Quetta (B.COM is professional degree for accounts). His relatives asked him to stay with them for few days in Toba Tek Singh. On April 21,2004 he went out and he reached near a Madrasa (it is a school where Muslim children get religious education. It has been found out that these are the centers where Muslim extremists are being trained and terrorism is growing from here. The USA government has asked Pakistan to check and ban these schools) named Jamee Hasan-Bin Ali in Chak # 323 G.B a village three kilometers away from City Toba Tek Singh.
According to Parvez Masih father of Javed Anjum, he said three days ago we found that Javed has been lost so we searched for Javed when we did not find him. We asked local cable TV network to give the news about our lost son. They gave this announcement again and again. We also informed the police about this and we tried to keep on searching him but did not find him for another two nights. A day before yesterday afternoon police handed over my son to me”
Parvez Masih added that police told me that the inchareg of Madrasa Jamee- Hasan Bin Ali and some other people brought Javed Anjum to the police station. The inchareg and other said that Javed Anjum came into our Madrasa with the intention of theft. We caught him and brought him here. When police saw Javed Anjum in a very serious condition they refused to take him as a thief. Because he was in a very serious condition for the torture for two nights and three days. Police asked Parvez Masih to take his son in a district headquarter Hospital for examination so action can be taken against those who brutally beaten up Javed Anjum.
Parvez Masih gave an application against Hajee Gulam Rasool the inchareg of Madrasa for torturing his son. Police is waiting for the results and then First Investigation Report will be filed. X-rays and other reports are underway. No arrest has been made yet.
Javed Anjum is in a very critical condition. His whole body is badly damaged. According to his relatives who were present in the hospital when we visited. They told that doctors have told them that because of massive torture his both kidneys are not working. Those have been badly affected.
Javed told us that, “they asked me to become a Muslim. When I refused they tortured me for two nights. He said they gave me electric shocks. They tried to remove my nails from my fingers”.
I have seen myself that blood was running from his ears. His hands and feet were also damaged and those were having swelling. He cannot walk even. One can imagine how they have done this inhuman act with him. It seems that this torture was very organized.
The owner of this Madrasa Mr. Jaffar Bin Qasim and he is from Vehari (It is another district far from Toba Tek Singh. Parvez Masih said that they do not have any enmity with these people. “ I do not know why they have beaten my son. They are giving us punishment because we are the followers of Jesus Christ”
A great wave of terror is among the Christians of the area. One person who came to visit Javed Anjum remarked that these Molvees (Muslim extremists leaders/teachers local word of them) have started to kill our young boys. They have organized a plan to destroy our young generation” He condemned this act of terrorism.
A leader of Jameet- Ullama- Islam Abdul Basit advocate (Fazlurehman group) came to know about this matter he said, “ I strongly condemn this act of violence and assure my full support with the affected family”
At the moment Javed Anjum need better care and treatment to save his life. Here in Pakistan public hospitals system is really bad for lack of medicines and carelessness of the managements. Nurses and workers are do not care the patients. In these circumstances before he dies or become crippled he needs to save his life rather then any other thing because justice is far from the poor in Pakistan. His family is struggling hard to save his life.
This is my kind request to you to help Javed Anjum to save his life so he can witness the God. He urgently needed to be admitted in a good hospital and that will be expensive. Toba Tek Singh is deprived of a good hospital. Please respond as soon as possible before we get late.
