ICN Memorial/Tribute to Deb?

Could we do some kind of memorial to Deb? She was such an angel and was so kind, I think she deserves such an honor...

Some kind of program that promotes understanding, caring, friendship...everything that Deb was and gave. I wish I could throw out some good ideas but my brain is all jumbled from the shock...I was thinking some kind of email program that would be like the ICAngels, kind of like you know how they have hotlines? We could have an email thing or maybe a hotline, I don't know how much those cost, but email might be cheaper and some people are shy about phone calls. Put it in Deb's honor, such a brave, selfless woman she was, a friend to all.

I couldn't agree more with this idea and I would love to help in any way. How about something connected to newbie support? Wasn't she the newbie angel?

I also think a memorial to Debbie is appropriate. It may be the family will have a suitable memorial in mind.

Debbie was very special to all of us --- she never failed to reach out to help others, even when she was suffering herself.

I still can't believe it.

how about a new page added to the icn for our love ones we have lost. on the page it can have pictures of them and what there lifes was like

I also wondered if we could send flowers to the family or to the funeral home from her friends at ICN. I will be more than happy to arrange that if you all think it is ok.My brain is too fried to think of another way to memorialize Deb, but my brain is fried.If there is anything at all I can do, please let me know. grouphug

I think these are excellent ideas. I'd also like to do something more personal for Deb--Alexa mentioned the Newbie Angel--I wonder if we can do something with that? Or the email thing? I don't know, brain is all jumbled here, like yours, it's a shock...love you all...

I really like the idea of a page for memories. I lost a granddaughter 7 years ago. I (and a friend who lost a baby) have started the MaryMadeline Project. We make burial gowns and blankets for stillborn babies or babies that die after birth. We make them out of wedding dresses that people donate. It really helps the healing process to do something to honor the memory of those we lost. Debbie cannot be forgotten, she gave so much.

I am still trying to get my head around losing Debbie, but I think that the ideas mentioned are great. She was just one wonderful lady, she holds a special place in my heart. Iris.

I have a very nice picture of debbie on my old computer hard drive it was at a birthday party she had a nice pink shirt on with pretty short hair very pretty picture
IF i can get the power back on that OLD computer i will load that picture to a floopy and send it to ya'll very lovely picture I will start working on it when i get my next check I have been wanting to fix that computer up for my children any how this is just more of a reason to try to get it working again.
I will post a message when i get it going but it will be after the third of the mth.
How I miss debbie when i get it going again I am going to print it out and place it on my wall.
