View Full Version : Can urelle screw you up over time?

In another thread several people wondered if my morning meds were responsible for my daily flares about 2-4 hours into my day.

My usual AM meds and supplements are quercitin with bromelain, calcium citrate, hydroxyzine and since my never ending flares kicked in 2 weeks ago, I started taking urelle every morning in a vain attempt to stop the daily flare before it started. I've been nervous about getting "hooked" on urelle and being unable to function without it. When it wears off my body seems to go nuts. I'm pondering staying off it for a few days and seeing how I do. I know it'll be horrible at first. I had the same problem with azo. Urelle actually helps against flares, (but obviously does not prevent them) but I wonder if it's possible I've taken too much and grown too dependant?

Thanks.

Love, Hannah.

I responded to another of your posts --- you might want to stop taking the calcium citrate for a few days to see if that helps.

I am also curious about the long term effects of Urelle.

At the moment, I take it 4X day as prescribed. I tried yesterday to stop it incase it would interfere with my urinalysis with my new uro tomorrow, but by lunch time today, I was in urethral pain and discomfort.

As soon as I started taking it again, I was feel better.

Does that mean most ICers don't take Urelle or Pyridium on a daily basis??
