Hello,

I have been getting dsmo treatments for about 9 months now. They started for weekly for 8 weeks and they monthly. They worked great the first weekly installments but have not begun to be ineffective. My specialist has also legthened my treatments to another full year of monthly installments. I have not been offered any other sort of treatment though even since I spoke to her about them being less and less effective. Is there any long term concerns with dsmo treatments??? Any does any one have any suggestions on pain management? On a day to day basis i am in pain allll the time and it is really beginning to take a toll on me.

Thank you
Joanna:)

Joanna,
You are much like me. I have tried many things and I am still in daily pain. I have not tried DSMO, but I have tried other instils. I don't think that much DSMO is good for your body. I would go under "search" here on the icn and type in DSMO. You may not want to do this as much. There are some safer instils out now and I have tried them and have gotten some relief while they were in. You may also be someone who would benefit from doing your own home instils. I have been to 7 uros now and you may have to go to other ones to help you explore more treatment options.

You will want to check with your doctor's office to be sure the solution is diluted to 25% or less of the DMSO.
