Hi guys, I work PT as child care. I love my job. I have IC (obviously why Im on here) and I was told I could collect soc sec..is this true? Ive only worked since August , 3 hrs a day. It does tend to make me happy to work BUT I never ever feel well, so it does bother me also. Now Im going to a pain mgmt tomorrow and ins WILL NOT cover me, so I have to pay out of pocket $350.00 tomorrow for the visit and every visit after. Im so miserable about this, Ive cried all day however, I need pain relief!!! Does anyone know if the state helps in anyway with this kinda condition? Im so depressed over it. I know its my health and it comes 1st but at the same time I get anxiety over money and am pretty upset about it. I could use some advise, tips, or any ideas that can help. Im on Elmiron and Elivil and going for DMSO treatments as of this Friday.

call your inc and asked them if there is a pain doctor in your area or close to you that they will pay for that is nonsence. i answered your other post about medicaid.
with child care i'm not sure if you can draw ssd but you can draw ssi. if you have worked in the pass even if you don't have enough credit you can draw please call the s.s at 1-800-772-1213. this is the only number i know and its toll free so hopefully it works for all area.

Yes it is true...you can get Social Security because of IC.
