Hi Everyone!

I have had some recent pain developments that are scaring me. I was diagnosed in november with IC, with mainly urgency and lower abdominal pain like menstrual cramps and some light frequency. Since then I think I have had success with elmiron and have completed 8 week pelvic floor physical therapy (biofeedback, tibial nerve stimulation). I have to be honest by my 7th week of PT I was shocked to feel pretty close to normal! I am now done and these past four days I have had extreme lower back and lower abdomen pain. I would think this is normal but this pain seems to be centered in my ovaries, as if I can feel both of them cramping. The pain goes into my legs and extra strength tylenol doesn't do much. I've been living with my heating pad on high. It almost feels like my whole abdomen is cramped, sore, tender, and I have terrible soreness in my lower back. so uncomfortable...I haven't felt an IC flare like this before, I mostly only get increased burning with a flare...

Does this sound like endometriosis? I know it is common to have this along with IC. I have never had what someone would consider a "heavy" period or excessive bleeding... I am lucky because I already made an appt with my gyno for friday morning to talk about vaginal valium suppositories but now I'm going to ask her about this pain and if there is anything to do..I just want to be ready for this appt and get some input!

what does your endo pain feel like? help!

hope you're well! x

I strongly suggest seeing your GYN, she would be able to determine if you have the Symptoms of endo or something else..

thanks! I am going to my gyno of friday morning at 9:30. I hope she can help me. It gets more painful as the day goes on....that makes it sound like IC but this feels different to me...

Hey there,

I am in a similar situation. I have IC and have tried numerous treatments including a year of physical therapy.

I have never had heavy bleeding or irregular periods but my doctor is having me get checked for Endo because of my pelvic pain.

You can have endo and not have the "classic symptoms."

I will be sure to post my experience after my surgery to check for it next week.

Good luck. <3

Wow, I just noticed your username...I live in Tampa too! I'm 24 and saw your signature says you're 23.

What doctor do you see? Who did you see for physical therapy?

I am pretty familiar with the IC/pelvic pain help situation in Tampa!
