does anyone else have problems with pools/chlorine? I was swimming in Ontario on holiday last summer with little to no problem (chlorinated pool at a couple of hotels)..came back here to Nova Scotia, had a bit of a heat wave, resorted to taking my daughter to a pool 2 days as it was so hot, and literally had to go every 5 min, the burning was SO bad I swore it was a UTI..so I went to an after hours clinic in our area, and he prescribed me antibiotics without doing a culture, and it made the pain worse :(
so now I'm scared to use a pool but we want to put our daughter in a gym n' swim program at our local community center, which I would have to take her to 1 day/week...
suggestions or input??

Hi, I have problems with chlorine. I will get some burning. I also have problems with certain antibiotics. Alot of the antibiotics cause my symptoms to get worse, there are only a few I can take. I would call your doctor and let them know your symptoms are worse and see what they recommend? Good luck. I hope you feel better.

Also, I think some pools have more amounts of chlorine then others, that could be why you were ok the first time.

i have problems with chlorine if I stay in the pool to long or don't immediately shower off after swimming.

I kind of figured I wasn't alone, and am disappointed! I love swimming!
I haven't been to a pool in about 6 months b/c I was so irritated the last 2 times :(
darn it!
