okay, I thought I had mostly gotten over my bad flare up last week and I've been "watching" what I eat, but still taking in small amounts and keeping a journal of what I'm eating to see what happens. Weeellll, I made the kids pasta with tomato sauce and sausage meatballs tonite and well it's my fav. I am newly diagnosed so I'm still trying to absorb all of this and figure stuff out. I only had 5-6 bites (trying to avoid the sauce) of it and maybe 3 little tiny meatballs. Now I'm beginning to feel stinging and "unrest" down there..... Could this be happening this fast from 5PM or so to 9PM????? The other thing I ate today was apples, I had one whole fresh one for lunch and then a little bit of apple crisp at dinner.... I thought apples were probably ok tho.
Maybe I'm imagining this right now? I want to be in denial....

When I eat something that bothers me I can tell with in a hour or two. I can not have any sauce or apples but everyone is different. I dont know if thats what caused your flare but hope you get relief soon.

Boy if both apples and sauce end up being problematic for me, I guess I'm in for it now since I had both together today! I hope not. I'm drinking LOTS of water and praying I didn't bring on a flare up after last week, I don't think I, or my friends and family could take it.....

you may be able to asked your doctor about it and get some free samples that is the way i found out about it before i had this family here to help me out.
I had to use it for really acidy foods or drinks it took me a long while to give up my soda's
if i'm going to eat anything like pizza (I don't try that very offen) I don't trust many things at all that has tomato's in it unless its home grown tomato's they have less acid.
have you looked at the ic diet that will give you some idea of what to stay away from but you must keep your own diary in order to find out what you can and can't eat. you can find the food list on the homepage of the icn.
sending you hugs and prayers
Rhonda
