Just when you think things really suck, people suprise you. I hadn't planned on staying in California this long--was about to run out of some of my meds--so one of the docs I worked with prior to my move to Las Vegas gave me an appointment and wrote for more than enough meds to get me through. He told me that I have been a positive source of inspiration to a lot of chronic pain patients that I came in contact with while I worked in the ER. He also said he was amazed that I have continued to work full time and that he uses me as an example that life can go on. I'm not too good at taking compliments, but at least I know I've made a difference for some one and that he cared enough to not make me have to make an ER visit for pain management.
