I was diagnosed with IC in 1998 when I was 24.... I had a great doc... he understood the pain I was in but I got so bad he wanted to remove bladder I WAS 28 I decided to do a whole life makeover... I then got pregnant at 29... stopped all meds and seemed to do very well and for the last year I have only had to deal with the million trips a day to the b/r... but slowly over the last couple of months the pain is coming back .... the week of easter I had my first real flare up in almost 2 years... I ended up in the er.... docs thought I had kidney stones... since I had blood and white cells in my urine... now I am getting nervous b/c I do not want to go back to how I was..... I am very strct with my diet and I really take of myself... the fear of going back to how I was scares me to death I really want to get control before I can't again.
I live in az but moved from where my old doc is located and it is to far of a drive. Does any one live here that knows a good doc???
THANX

bladder removal is your last choice, i am so sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. Have you considered the interstim for frequency and urgency? It will help the urgency pain but not your bladder and pelvic pain. www.interstim.com.
hope you feel better.
