Tried Sex

Well, my husband and I tried having sex last night for the first time in almost 5 months. It only lasted about 5 seconds, because the pain was just too bad. Honestly, I haven't even been in the mood, but I thought we could at least try. My Vulvodynia was already bothering me and after trying sex it just got worse. I just don't know what to think anymore. I can't take the pain from penetration and I just am not ever in the mood, maybe that's from the Paxil Cr. I wish I could just be normal again!

I'm so sorry Hillary! :( I know how upsetting that is -- I had the same problems last year between the IC and Vulvar Vestibulitis. I was never in the mood but when I did have sex, I ended up in pain for days after that. Not fun at all.

What treatments are you on for the Vulvodynia?

I am on Neurontin for my VV, but it isn't helping and is making me so bloated, so I am stopping it today. So, I won't be on anything for my VV. Thanks for your concern!
