:) Great stuff, I just am not always sure how much to take, when they say to take two pills for a sclice of cheese, yet I am having mayo also on that sandwitch, do I take more to add up for the mayo also or does the two pills for the slice of cheese do the trick. I guess what I am asking is Just say I was to have a burger:D and on this I had tomatoe, onion, cheese, right there is three no no's do I need to take 6 pills to make it allright or do you just take to prelief and you are ok?

I take 2-3 pills with each meal. My urologist said it is harmless to your system because it is made mostly of calcium which absorbs the acid. Personally, I would stay away from the tomatoe and onion, because they can cause symptoms. Prelief also has a website that can answer any questions you may have.

Hello and welcome to the ICN family.:welcome: I am fairly new to this site also and agree with you that everyone here is wonderful and so helpful. I was diagnosed with IC last year and am now just finding out that diet and Prelief can help IC symptoms. I am now not eating any acidic foods, coffee, diet sodas or anything that may cause pain in my bladder. Also, I am taking 2 Prelief pills before each meal just in case. I am having another flare, but watching what I eat is helping. I went to a new Uro yesterday and he really didn't know much about this disease which makes me kind of frustrated. I had a great doctor, but he moved away. My hubby is active duty in the Air Force, so doctors come and go. I also have been taking Elmiron for 8 months and am just now feeling some relief, so it does take awhile for it to work. I have not noticed any hair loss either which I am glad of.:D How did your last DSMO work out for you? My doctor said I could try it, but not sure if I want to. I found relief from having hydrodistention, and may try that again. Good luck to you on your IC journey and I am glad you found us. I am looking forward to getting to know you. Take care!:butterfly

Good morning...:)

For me, Prelief is somthing I use "just in case" I miss something that will cause my bladder to scream at me. I usually take 2 with meals or snacks if I am out at people's homes or eating in restaurants. At home, I do not eat nor drink those things that, over time and a lot of experimentation, I have found cause me problems. Unfortuantly, the only way to find out what foods and drinks you can tolerate is to try them. :(

Opps...I forgot to say that, when I use Prelief, I take 2 with an entire meal. Not with each item, separately. :)

Hi Sing,

I tried sending a private message to you, but I got a message saying your inbox was full. I just wanted to thank you for the info on the Bladder Q Pills. I would like to try them too. Let me know how they work for you. It was nice to get to know you better too. I am 46 yrs old, and have been married 18 yrs to a wonderful man. We have 2 children. Our daughter is 15 and our son is 13. The teenage years can be very trying can't they? I hope we can be IC pen pals and get to know each other better. You can also email me anytime at ritas@doglover.com

Talk to you later, Rita_Lorraine :hi:

Hi, welcome.

I take two with my meal, not per item.

I take 2 with each meal and they do make a difference. I have to order them in from the US as I am from Melbourne.
Speaking of acid foods, does anyone know, what product might be acid free that is a sugar substitute. I can't have saccarine.

I take 2-3 pills with a meal. It has allowed me to eat spagetti, lasagna, and pizza with a lot fewer ill effects. of course I only have these items about once a year to get rid of the craving. In the early days I remember wanting spaghetti for 4 solid months. It was all I could think about. I finally decided to make some and the craving went away. My husband ate most of it, but I was surprised by how little I hurt. Although I did take a Pyridium Plus and 3 Prelief before eating it. I have also taken 4 prelief to drink a cup of regular coffee and the only side effect....up all night peeing. I'm just so glad I seem to tolerate chocolate well, even with IBS-D.
