Today is a flare day. I thought I had an infection, but I called the office and they told me to go to the er... I don't have an infection. I found out I week ago I might have lupus. I'm trying to get all my mission stuff taken care of,and three more weeks of school. i'm so stressed, I dont' know where and when to go. I'm going to the er like every two weeks..and they never do anything for. I don't know if it's in my head or what grr. thanks for listening..better stop before I cry.

wow..kiyoka...I admire your tenacity to continue with your mission. I wish you well, and hope you can stay healthy during your time. I hope your mission will be somewhere with good medical care close by, and not the tip of Argentena or someplace like that, (good friend of mine's son was sent there)

I am not a religious person but bless you and hope for the best for you...takes alot of strenghth and conviction to continue through this adversity. :)

Good luck. Tracey

Kiyoka,
Our bodies always have impeccable timing, huh. I can tell by your postings that you are a strong person who is also very selfless. I am so proud of your maturity and determination.(Gosh, I'm starting to sound old, creepy) Take care of you...you can lose track of that during finals. You are a role model by the way you express yourself. And if those dorks in the ER aren't providing you with relief they are wrong. It is a violation of JCAHO standards to not provide proper pain management. It is archiac to give patient care in any other manner. If you need an advocate the next time call me. I will hook them up in that ER even if I need to call them from California. We are moving to CO after my husband returns from Iraq... so if you need me, call me. God bless ya kiddo.

Hugs,
Barb

Wow,,,,,,,,,,,so sorry to hear that you might have lupus! Like the IC disease is not enough??????!
We all totally understand about the whole pain mgmt in ER business. I had to go in after my hydro I went into retention for 16hours!!!!!!!UGH....anyways a day after my hydro and not going to the bathroom for 16 hours yeah I was just a little uncomfortable,,,,,,,,,,,After I sat in the ER waiting room for about a hour they took me back and I said you are not doing that cath. without some kind of pain meds and the dr said to me "do you want your bladder emptied? Or do you want pain meds? They take awhile to kick in?????? It was a good thing I was laying down or I would of fallin over! My reply was " Why not both"??? I said you must not know first of all what a hydrodistention and obviously you have no idea what IC is even!!!!! Well needless to say I got my shot before the cath.........lol Sorry about going on about that but it is soooooooooooooo frustrating to try to get help and nobody understands!!!!UGH
Keep your chin up:thumbsup:

Sending hugs your way.:grouphug: Hopefully a Dr. can get you something to help relieve some of the symptoms. I am sure the stress is not helping anything either. Hang in there.
