Hello Everyone,
I have been searching for something like this for a while now and I am so glad I found all of you. I am a 45 year old female and About 2 months ago they did a Bladder Destention on me and found the IC, and the Destention actually made everything worse for me. I have been put on Elmiron and I am going tomorrow for my 5th DMSO RIMSO-50 treament. NOthing yet. I still hurt. the treatments hurt after I get through with them, I hurt for up to 3 days after getting them. Then it tapers off just a bit, but still So sore. One thing that really gets me is going to the restroom. as my bladdder empties more and more, man does it ever hurt, down to the very last drop! Any way they have told me that they wanted to do 6 treaments on me and now the Dr. said that he thinks that I should go into the Hospital and have another Destintion Done because he does not see as much emprovment from the DMSO for me, But I am refusing the Destintion, because the first one did not work, and he even said that they don't work for everybody. I am kinda in limbo here cause if the DMSO does not work here for me and the Destentions what then? wait 3 years for the Elmiron the bring back the waxy linning to the Bladder??? I heard about the Bladder Q and it sounds Really Goodb and Lori here on this site said that she is taking it with good results already, and all the testimonials are really good about it. So I think after my 6th appt with the DMSO I am going to go for it with the BLadder Q. I don't want to do anything until then because I want to see what the DMSO is going to do without interferinence. How long have you already been on elmiron? Usually most people see a difference in or around 6 months.
It has helped me and I truely hope that, in time, it will help you also.
My life is still limited to what I can do, but I've finally been able to add some fun stuff to do again.
I can't say that I blame you for not wanting to do a procedure that didn't help you the first time around.
You know your body best.

:) Thanks for writing back, I have been on the Elmiron for a month and a 1/2 now, When I do go on these pills the Natural Bladder the Gotu Kola in them is supose to help with the GAG track they say, in the same way that the Elmiron does, but I am not going to give up taking the Elmiron I think that they both could do me good. Glad to here that you are doing good that is nice to here for someone else to be doing good with this.:thumbsup:
