I want to make some blueberry jam but I don't know if fruit pectin is safe. Y/n?

Hi baaby,
I don't know whether commercial pectin is safe for you or not but I do know that it is mainly made from apples and citrus fruit(I think mainly the peels). My grandmother taught me to make jam without pectin and it always came out good. I know some people have trouble with it becoming runny though. Another option is if you're tolerant of pears, is to add a little chopped pear as they too contain good portions of pectin. I have had no problems with fruit pectin. Just be sure to look at the ingredients. I bought a brand that didn't contain citric acid, but I remember some brands did.
