View Full Version : 3am flare
Really flaring tonight - and all that's on TV is "paid programming"! :toilet:
Have been flaring from 10pm - acid stomach & irritated bladder, I've had a rescue instillation, my regular nighttime meds, a Darvocet, 4 TUMS, a piece of toast, heating pad, now whining.
Mystery flare:
Was it...
...too much cleaning yesterday? (The apt does look great now! :woohoo:)
...second cup of rooibos tea? (I had the first one 5 hours earlier, so thought I could get away with it):tsk:
...for no reason at all?
...because it's raining?:loco:

Sometimes the why is something like a question one of my children asked when very young --- "Mommie, why is the sky?" --- sometimes we just don't know what causes a flare. I just hope you are feeling better quickly!
Sending gentle hugs,
Donna

I am sorry you are dealing with this flare though. You know the routine, try to rest though and get that heating pad out! I hope it passes soon..

I am so sorry you are flaring. Like everyone else said, you already know the drill. But, just want to remind you to make sure it isnt an infection. I know that for me at least, there have been several times I thought it was just another bad flare but then it turned out to be an infection after all. So, it never hurts to check to be sure. (Do you have any of those at home test strips, or can you drop off a urine sample at your Drs. office?)
I hope you are sleeping or resting now and are finally getting relief.
Sending you big hugs,
Amaranthe
Yep, did a test kit & no infection. Just did an instillation & I am sooo grateful for them!
I think the level of the flare had dropped enough that it actually worked:)
Tired now, but feeling much much better. Thank you for your kind responses.
It really helps to know that other people understand...

So glad you are at least feeling a little better. By the way I love the end of your signature. I have a precious little black cat and had to hug her after reading that. She is only 8 pounds full grown and darling. Very cute (I think we could all use a little fur therapy). They are precious. :)
