Okay...I know this is going to sound bizarre, but do any of you have pain behind your bellybutton? It isn't terrible pain, but it gives me the willies...can't quite explain. I wrote earlier this week that they found low-count bacteria and have been on Levaquin for about five days. I can't believe how much better I feel-almost normal  , but this new bellybutton thing started two days ago. I also feel now like only one side of my bladder aches-almost in the shape of a crescent moon exactly:lmao: I am starting to think that I am insane with all these weird symptoms. Oh well..just wondering if anyone else out there knew what I was feeling. Thanks-

Hi ,
If this is a new symptom I would let your doctor know. I have had pain above, below and in the belly button. However 4 years ago I had umbilical hernia and had it repaired and my doctors think it causes my pain every now and then . Best of luck and hope you get some relief soon.

I agree with Kelly. If this is a new symptom, you need to ask your doctor.

Warm healing thoughts,

Definitely, if this is something new, it should be checked out by an MD. Don't assume anything is related to IC until you are told that by a doctor.

Good luck,

;)

I also get pain in the general area, but more around my belly button... gonna jump on the band wagon here and vote for a call to the doctor. Better safe than sorry. Hope it's not something else to add to the treatment list!

I sometimes have pain there. I never think much of it. It's not bad something just annoying. It seems kind of close to the skin, I just try to ignore it.

I have heard that this relates to an intestinal pain caused by difficuly with digestion. I have food sensitivities related to IC. These same sensitivities can also affect your digestive track. You may want to keep a food diary and try to determine if you have a food sensitivity. I did this with an exclusion diet to determine mine. Jala.

Thanks for your replies everyone! I did ask my doctor about it when I went in, and he said he'd heard a lot of IC complaints, but this one was new. He checked for a hernia, but alas-nothing. It went away after about four days, but it was just the most bizarre feeling-like someone sticking their finger in there and wiggling it around! I hope that feeling is gone for good!! Thanks again!
