Hey guys I did the whole Lupron therapy , all 6 months of it , and have been done the therapy for 6 months now . Originally I was on it because even tho I DID NOT have endo , I still had horrible periods , extreme bleeding , fainting , pain etc etc . The docs told me that I would get my period again about 2 months after the shots ended , well its been 6 months and still no period ! The reason I have not asked the doc who put me on it , is that I stopped seeing them rather abruptly and am embarassed to call and ask now .... Has this happened to anyone ? Do you guys have any advice ? Thanks in advance !!!

Years ago I went on BC but it made me so sick I had to quite before the first mon was up. I then did not get a period for 10 mons then the Dr. gave me some sort of med which started my period and it came back as bad as ever.
I think you need to talk to a dr. MG

Has anyone had endometriosis, and had a hysterectomy that still has IC pain and menstrual like cramps? Just had my 5th laporoscopy for endometriosis removal and doc mentioned hysterectomy to my husband, who doesn't want anymore children. I'm only 32 and not really ready for this step unless medically necessary. I have the "Fibro" 5 as commonly called, and the whole pain thing is hard for me to make my husband understand. Thanks, Sherry

Call your dr or another one if you feel weird about calling the other. They need to figure out why you're not cycling yet. I only did 3 months of Lupron (body didn't handle side effects like they expected), and it took a few months to get my cycles back even after just 3 months. If you don't have a cycle after 7 months, call a dr and find out what's going on. The menopause it puts you in is supposed to reverse, so you should start soon. But call anyway. They might need to jumpstart it somehow.

dolphingirl,
I had endometriosis and had a hysterectomy. I've told this many times so you may have seen it on another post. After my hysterectomy where they removed my ovaries and appendix too, I got two bad infections. One internally and one on the abdominal incission. I don't know if my endo is gone because after all the antibiotics to get rid of the staff infection I developed IC. I know that I would not have it if it were not for the hysterectomy and the infections. It is a huge decision. HRT may or may not work for you if you get your ovaries out. If something happens and you want another child later there is no going back. My doctor talked me into doing this saying I could keep my ovaries. When I woke up they were gone because she said they were too bad to keep (and so was my appendix). I would never do this surgery if you can control your symptoms another way. Others discussed going to an endometriosis specialist. I did not get a second opinion and my husband was worried about cancer so I did the surgery. I would get a second opinion. Then I would still think very hard and find the best surgeon and hospital.
