I have not been on here for a long time but I wanted to get on here and ask a few questions.
1) Is there anyone on here that has Over Active Bladder and not IC? The reason I am asking is because I went to a new uro. a few months ago and we talked and they did an ultrasound to see if my bladder was emptying and it was. He said I may just be oab and not ic. So I go back next Tuesday the 15th and he will look in my bladder.
2) Has anyone tried VesiCare and get blurred vision with it? It seems that I tend to get blurred vision with it.
3) Has anyone tried Enablex and had good results? He did put me on that, I did not notice any blurred vision but I thought it was causing me to have more indigestion (but my husband said "I would rather have to deal with indigestion where you can take something for that instead of getting blurred vision and not being able to do something about that"), so I called and explained that to them so they told me to try VesiCare, but now it seems what I can normally read without reading glasses is not blurred.
4) Should I go ahead and start taking the Enablex again now or wait until I go to the doctor next week and see what he says? I did notice that the Enablex was working and not giving me blurred vision.

Thank you for your imput.

I can't directly answer your ?, but I found buscopan and antispasmotic ( I think those meds fall in this catigory too caused me to have blurred vission) it took me a bit to figure this out I just thought it was from a headache, so I took it for about a month full time, I think 3x per day. When I realized what was going on I had been on it for about a month so i went back to y Dr. he felt the blurred vission was a sign I should be taking this. The thing is it took my vission about a month to come back, he said in some cases it does not come back if people have been on it long term.

I know everyone reacts differently to different meds, and I am not tring to be an alarmist but I do think blurred vission warrents a discussion with your Dr.

If a med gives you indigestion may I suggest you look at trying papya enzemes, you can get them at most pharm or health food stores rather cheap, I know papya is on the no list of the diet, but I found the pills did not bother my bladder, I don't eat the fruit, (mostly beacuse I don't like it so I have not tried it), I take it twice a day with my 2 biggest meals and have found it really helps with out the side effects of indigestion meds.

I will also say that when I went looking for it I made a point of buying one that just had papya, there were others that had other herbs etc for digestion but I have lots of allergies to herbs so I wanted just papya, that way you know what the culprit is that bothered you.

I know I did not answer your ? really, I can't ake any of theses types of meds as they cause me urinary retention. I have a box of VesiCare
from my gp but my uro said not to try it everytime I get retention I end up with a UTI.

Hope this helps you some MG

yes, I had blurred vision with vesicare but only the first few days I was on it and then my body seems to adjust to it and I have no side effects from it now what so ever.

My bladder also empties correctly, and looks completely normal and my urologist is still positive it is IC. Everyone is different I guess? I'm positive I have it too even though I wish I didn't!!

good luck to you, best, kate
