Elmiron and Birth Control

My doctor who prescribed my birth control didnt know a thing about Elmiron so I wanted to ask if anyone here knew if these two pills will interact badly with one another?

I have been on both at the same time before and have never experienced the two badly interacting with one another.

enough people take both that if there were interactions they would have been made very aware to the public by now :) i took both for a long time. birth control made my ic much better.

I take both and there does not seem to be a problem. They are in a totally different class of drugs so it should be fine. And my doctor prescribed both birth control and Elmiron. As far as I know there is no problem with taking both.

When I asked this question I had been spotting but now I am straight bleeding and have been for over seven days now (while on the estrogen pills). Has anyone ever had this problem? I am trying to get a hold of my doctor right now.
