i have been waiting for this for a long time and been wanting it but now as i think we will be able to go threw with it i'm getting a little scared but still want it.
my doctor agree today if i don't have any stones and if the stones didn't cause any type of damage to my bladder or area's around it he would take my hunners off my bladder.

my question has anyone ever had this done?

if so

how long did it take to recover?

is this done also as an outpat.??

I know i should have asked the questions today but we was talking so much about the stone and other things and i didn't even to think about asking these question.
plus i have been wanting those painful things off my bladder off for so long. i'm happy and hopeful but yet scared.
i was for warned that some hunners refuse to leave and even tho they are cut off they may return.
but like i said i'm hopeful.
thank you for your help in this matter plus i would love to hear from others who has had this done it helps to hear from a icer who has had personal exp. with these type of things also.

sending you all hugs and prayers and thank you
Rhonda.

Hi Rhonda,
I had my hunners removed in 1997 and it was great? I went in on a Friday and they snt me home with a Bag for a week. It was not really painfull. It feels like a Hydro. When I went back a week later I felt great I mean I felt 90% better. It took 5 years for them to return. It was soooooooo worth it. I would try it if I was in your shoes.

Good Luck
Ruth

Let me know what you decide:hi:

Thank you Ruth that does make me feel alot better about it however i don't like the idea of having to wear a bag for a week. is there any chance i could get out of that one? I so hope so. but either way I'm going to try it asap.
thanks for your advice.

Rhonda,

I think the reason for the bag is cuz when they go in and burn all those hunners, they want the hunners to make a scar and fall off I dont know if I am making sens. What happend to me was the day I had them removed the Dr told me that in the next few days I would see little pieces of blood like clots comming out of my bladder and into the bag. He said dont get scared its normal.

Its cuz when they go in a burn all those little hunners they have to make a scare and fall out? I dont know if I am making sense but I tried to explaine it the best I could.

Love
Ruth

thanks Ruth.
my doctor said he was going to cut mine off but i guess it will still be the same but that does make sences.
I really hate the thoughts of a bag for a week but to have a year or more of feeling alot better that week is going to be short in the relief i will reserve.
thanks so much. I still want it done.:) it helps to know what might lay ahead of me before it happens.

Its so worth it. Once the week is over you will forget all about it. I would 100% suggest you do it.

You are a fighter you will do fine

Love
Ruth

PS let me know when you will have it done?

Rhonda, I had this done many years ago where my X uro cauterized the entire bladder lining in hopes that good tissue would grow back......I was sicker that sick for awhile but eventurlly, the hydros, it did work......my last one (I usually have a hydro once a year) there was just pin point bleeding.

Wishing you the very best my friend:thumbsup:
