itching and rash

Hello all, I had a cysto/hydro on April 15th and did real well.
But I have developed this rash and irritation (in my peri-area).
I have to take Cipro x2 daily and I am wondering if that is creating the problem???
Has this happened to anyone else?

Anita,
You need to see your doctor. It sounds like to me that you have a secondary yeast infection(secondary to the Cipro) and that the yeast have taken off and excoriated your peri area. The most important thing is to see your doctor to make sure it is indeed a yeast infection and not a bacterial infection. I would caution you to contact him or her before using any over the counter preparations as well. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I absolutely agree that you need to see your doctor. If you developed the rash immediately after the surgery, it could be an allergic reaction to the surgical soap they used for cleansing for the procedure. However, if it was several days later, it could be an infection --- the only way to get an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment is to see your doctor.
