It's a boy

Hi all,

We had a second trimester ultrasound today and learned that we're expecting a boy. I was just so grateful that the baby appears healthy. I still worry about the use of Elmiron those first few weeks -- I am well practiced at worrying. I was amazed of how apparent the anatomy is. We did not have a preference either way. No doubt baby makes four completes the family (it would have regardless of gender). I think Ellen will enjoy having a little brother.

That is so great. When my children were born, we had to wait until they made an appearance to know what sex we had. I think it's really great that people know ahead of time so plans can be made --- and you won't be buying any little pink dresses!

We're very excited. This pregnancy seems to be proceeding much faster than the previous one. September will be here before we know it. IC has been remaining at bay, thank goodness. Let's hope it continues to.
