There are two versions, and both are really good.

Here's the recipe for several cups:

Liquefy:
1/2 cup raw, unsalted cashews or blanched slivered almonds
1/2 cup water
2 T. carob powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. sweetener (or to taste)
1/2 tsp. Inka or other coffee substitute

Add:
2 1/2 cups water

Heat for a hot drink, or refrigerate for cold carob milk. Delicious either way.

Powdered mix:
Since everyone in our family (and all guests) love this, I make it up as a powder to have on hand, to add to hot water. Here's the recipe:

1 cup carob powder
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cup sugar cane crystals
2 Tbsp. Inka (or Pero)
6 cups Dari-Free milk powder (This is a very good-tasting non-soy milk substitute)

Mix thoroughly; store in air-tight container. Add 4-5 T. to a mug of hot water. Stir and enjoy.
