Hi all! I am another who has the same symptoms as you all, isolated to the urethra. Started abruptly about a month ago. I see many have pain when sitting. I am more comfortable when sitting, but as soon as I stand up and start walking, I get all the symptoms in spades! Like my legs are rubbing or something pressing and causing nerve pain, urgency, etc. I get discomfort somewhat on sitting, and also laying down on my side, but the worst is walking! Docs dismiss pelvic floor disorder. Anyone else have this kind of a problem? Thanks!

When I'm flaring, it hurts to stand for any length of time --- or to walk.

No problem standing or walking, burning pain when sitting. A donut pillow helps a lot for sitting.

Thanks for the input. ICNDonna, do you have a position that is comfortable for you? Unlike some others, I find that I am most comfortable sitting. Its the standing and walking that bring on most symptoms (can have when sitting, too, but not always). I am just trying to determine what could be going on with me.

not sure if this was said but when you get home from walking---a cold compress helps me tremendously and also painkillers and a good movie....
hope this helps...
