I hope something works for me. I went my PCP and my uro today. My pcp did refill my hydromorphone. The first words she said to me was people with IC have to sometimes just deal with it. I wanted to scream:rolleyes: but she said I took it the wrong way. I then asked her if she had other patients with IC she said I am going to be honest with you I only have a hand few of patients with it and I am glad. Ok now I'm like great and she again says I took it the wrong way.:headbang: Im looking htis is not going good. then she tells me its unfortunate and chronic and I need to see a specialist. She says she only knows of 1 in our area and I had her a list of specialist I already called and she says great writes my referalsto pain psychologist and a uro/gyno and tells me stay out of trouble for a few weeks cuz shes going on vacation. I'll do my best I told her. Then we made the mad dash to my uros office.He asks how I am doing.... Grrrrrr I explain the same as the last 2 years and show him my journal of voids,ect... he wants me to try Oxytrol for frequency because detrol and ditropan did not work. He said take the elmiron even if it makes you sick said even if I can take one a head. Im like ok I'll try but I have to work.He wants me to try pyridium plus and see how it goes.The urised did not work.and keep taking the evavil (sp) . Now I feel like a medicine machine. But if it works I just dont like taking all this stuff. He then suggested we start DMSO treatments and scheduled my first one for May 12th. I asked him if it would hurt .He said no and told me to read more about it on the internet. Made me a little nervous. When I went to schedule the appointment his nurse said he had no time that day and did he want her to do the treatment he said yes That made me even more nervous. Anyway sure hope something works.
