This is great for breakfast
Smooth and creamy. Cook time is blending time.
SERVES 1 -2 (change servings and units)
Ingredients
1 medium ripe pear (bartlett or anjou)
1/2 cup crushed ice
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup organic apple juice (such a small amount should not creat a flare)
You could also puree an IC friendly Fuji apple and use instead of the juice.
1/2 cup skim milk
Optional 1/4 cup (or less) all natural or raw sugar
Directions
Peel pear and cut in pieces.
Put in blender.
Add apple juice or puree and cinnamon.
Blend until smooth.
add sugar for desired sweetness.
Add ice.
Blend until mixed.
With blender running, add milk.
Blend until foamy.
Serve immediately.
