Hi, I'm brand new to this site. I'm not completely sure what I have. The doctors dismissed it as a simple stress-related issue and/or Interstitial Cystitis and simply told me "There is no cure". Whatever it is, if it's IC, it's been coming and going since I was 15.. I think my symptoms are milder than some. Sometimes I just have a glass of water and I have to empty a full bladder every 5-10 minutes for an hour or so (which doesn't make sense to me because my body hasn't even consumed that much liquid) and other times i barely have to void more than a trickle but it burns my whole lower region and sometimes the urge to go again is immediate. I've been trying that no-sodium diet I found on the internet. I've been doing it for a week now which I am so far successfully sticking too. I don't know if it works yet. I've also been keeping track of what I eat and drink and how I feel. But I found that site about Bladder-Q. And I read everything in there. It sounds really good and I want to try it, but I realize I should get some feed-back that isn't simply from the site trying to sell..
So.. does anyone have any good feedback about Bladder-Q?
I appreciate it.

Currently taking:

-Stressentials (to help with stress and depression when this occurs)
-Adrenal tissue capsules
-Reishi mushroom tea
-Magnesium Citrate capsules

I am taking Bladder-Q for a year now and I could say that I am a bit better as I was a year ago when I donīt have a flare. It doesnīt help me in a way I wish so I am also adding now CystoProtek and waiting to get some aloe as well.

So for me it was not a miracle pill and I do not have such an amazing story as those testimonials but it did help a bit and I am still taking it. I feel I would be worse without it.
I guess everyone is different and all we can do is try different things and hoping that something will work for us.
My main symptom is frequency and urgency, I can handle a pain for now but this frequency is a madness.

I am not sure how much this will help you but thatīs my report:)

The frequency is indeed maddening, I know..
Every bit of information helps though, I appreciate your reply.

Has anyone here tried the No-Sodium diet?
I've been trying it.. Off and on 'cause it's so hard to do.. Especially when I work and have little time to prepare every meal from scratch.. I've lost way too much weight because I need to graze on food throughout the day since my metabolism is quite fast..
I'm about ready to give up before it kills me by starvation.. I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever tried it and had any success?

No I never tried it before so I canīt say much about it.
What can you eat with it?

I am already cutting so much out, living on rice so not sure how much more I can cut out.

Well.. The no sodium diet is tough. Too tough for me. You have to have a LOT of time to devote too just cooking alone. You can't eat fast food, restaurant food, packaged food, canned food, pre-cooked food, condiments, food that comes in a mix, no eating at other peoples houses either 'cause you don't know what they put in their food.. It basically has to be all absolutely plain and all absolutely fresh meats and vegetables. No bread, no dairy either. It was hard. I lost way too much weight in only the first five days (15lbs) 'cause my metabolism is fast. And I continued to lose weight.. It took me down so fast, I was below 100 lbs, I lost all my energy and I was feeling ill and tired and crying all the time. My boyfriend knows how hard this whole thing has been and finally told me it wasn't worth it 'cause it was literally killing me and I had to stop the diet. After eating regular things again it turns out sodium had nothing to do with it for me anyway. I've been eating normally for 3 weeks now and I've only managed to gain 2 pounds back. I wouldn't recommend it.

A sodium free diet is impossible. Even if you cook everything from scratch, food contains some sodium. I was on a "low sodium" diet for high blood pressure so for a long time I reduced the amount of sodium. It helped my blood pressure, but did absolutely nothing to relieve IC symptoms.

Yeah.. It's impossible alright.
I'm just actually glad it didn't seem to work 'cause it was way too ridiculously hard to cut it down that far for me.

Hi Wren,

I don't know much about the Bladder-Q, but I too have been taking Cystoprotek and have found so far that it is helping me quite a bit. I would highly recommend trying it. I know it doesn't help everyone (as with every med and supplement with IC), but I definitely think it's worth experimenting with:)

Jill - how long do you take CP? I am taking it for 1,5 month and I am not sure if it will help me, it does with pain but not with frequency and urgency.
I am still taking Bladder-Q (have it left for a month), but what I notice is that maybe all these work for bladder pain but not for other stuff like frequency, at least not yeat.

Hi Bojana,
I've been on it for around 4-5 weeks I think. I really only have mainly pain and urgency with my IC, so I don't have experience with the frequency aspect as much. I think 1.5 months is still early to expect too much with the Cystoprotek. I consider myself very fortunate to be experiencing relief this early. Dr. Theohardes says to give it several months before deciding it doesn't work so hang in there. I remember Purpletomorrow talking about her experience as she said she just keep noticing more and more relief as the months went on, so I'm hoping it just continues to get better for you and I too:)
