I used to have horrible mouth ulcers. I read on the internet that they are made worse by the foaming agent in toothpaste, SLS.

I switched to Biotene toothpaste which has no SLS, and almost never get them now.

While you have them, dot them with Colgate Peroxyl and they will heal faster and hurt less.

You poor thing!

You can get Biotene toothpaste at Target, WalGreens, Walmart, etc.

So sorry you are having a hard time...I have heard that some mouth ulcers can be caused by vitamin deficiency...Could this be a possibility? I get them when I am "run down"

I had terrible sores in my mouth about 6 months ago and I went to the dentist and she recommended Orabase and it works well. She also told me no matter what I do I would have it for a week.Give it a try,I know how sore those can be.

When my gums are really sore I wash my mouth with salt and warm water. I swish it around a couple times a day. It might hurt a little but it seems to help me.
I know that sometimes you feel like I can't take another ailment--or another source of pain.
I hope you get better,

Oh ouch I feel your pain. I get them from time to time. My DR. said that it can be caused be stress and some tooth paste. You can use warm salt water or mouth rinse. Don't use any that has teeth whitening. Wish you speedy recovery:pray:
