cloudy urine appearance

Currently, my urine always looks a little cloudy with tiny white streaks/flakes in it... does anybody know what this is? Is it a sign for the underlying chronical infection (I have no UTI), means a typical sign for IC?

And is there anything I can do about it?

Hi,

I've had periods of this myself. Sometimes it's lasted for months. I've asked my doctors about it and they always just tell me that maybe I'm dehydrated or have eaten something, etc. It really worried me when it first started happening, but now I just chalk it up to something weird I have with my IC every so often.

thanks for your reply! Did you ever have a big urine analysis done?

Mine says: no UTI but
- appearance CLOUDY
- MUCUS THREADS PRESENT

so I take it the white particles are mucus threads... I know that an IC bladder has a damaged lining but I did not know that it is actually "flushed out" piece by piece (or particle by particle).

Yes, this has happened to me and I went to the doctor and everything. No infection. I almost think it's some of the meds we all take. I asked my doc and he said I was clear SOOOO, if your doc says you're pee is okay and you're not in pain, just try to ignore it!

I passed those white flakes at the very start of my IC. It was after my kidney stone procedures, and I went to a follow up appointment. When I gave the sample is when I noticed the flakes. I still to this day have cloudy urine, and I've never gotten an answer yet as to why. There is never any infection, just lots of white blood cells. I have pain every day of my life, but no doctor yet has been able to give me an answer. I have had a regular cysto but never a hydro. I think it's going to happen soon with my new Uro/Gyn.
