bladder infection

I was diagnosed last week with a urinary tract infection. I have taken all the med. I am still have lower abdomenal pain and at time pain when urinating.
I am also nauseated but I think thats the med. I am thinking about going back to the uro. I am afraid of him because usually when I come in that means bladder dylation or installs. The bladder infection was diagnosed by a sub. general pratictioner. I feel yucky but it seems like no one really cares.

I had a Uti recently and the antibiotic definately made me sick to my stomach even though I was taking it with food.. My appetite was not great and had very little energy...When I was done the antibiotics I had to take urine sample in ---They never called so I assume that the infection had cleared up....I feel better although now just the normal IC aggevations. Sometimes hard to tell between the two.

I am so sorry you are going through this. It might be a good idea to take another urine sample just to make sure there isn't any infection left. Is the pain during urination different than when you were first diagnosed with the infection? It might be IC symptoms, but I think it would be wise to make sure.

I agree... I would get the urine checked again. Sometimes when we with IC get an infection, our bladders do not feel better as quickly as non IC bladders even though the infection has cleared. Better get it checked to be sure.
