Last night we went to a little band concert at a care center where two of our "children" were playing --- we were sitting in the back and a lady came through with a walker, looking for a place to sit. (we were sitting on the platform that holds a piano) --- my daughter got up and asked a man to scoot his chair a little, then she moved a chair where the lady could sit. I was soooo proud!

I am thankful for my husband who I have been married to for almost 28 years.
My oldest son Matthew who is 27 and an engineer in Orange County California though I do miss him living in Michigan. My middle son Nicholas who is 23 and has been a great help with my youngest son Brendan who is 7. My husband and I received a midlife blessing and I had a baby at age 45. He is a wonderful bright child though he is ADHD. So at age 52 almost 53 I am still raising a child where most women my age have grown children and grandkids.
None of those yet. My younger sisters are Grandmas.

.....I have with family and friends, that I was given opportunities to speak out for health care reform, and the wonderful, professional angels that changed my life-- actually gave it back to me. I am beyond grateful for the trust they placed in me, enabling me to be proactive by providing them with medical knowledge from my former career as an RN and as an "expert" on my own particular brand of "The PBS Beast." I'm grateful for the strength I was somehow given to dig for information relentlessly and the Universe for guiding me to it; even with very little sleep.:smile tee
Since the recent positive changes which have taken place in my life, thanks to the best, most compassionate pros ever:bow:, the stress level has decreased to the point where I have been able to lessen the amount of medications I am taking. I'm grateful for awakening to all that I've been blessed with and the new life I'm beginning. I'm ecstatic my car is paid off!!!!!!:woohoo:
I can't give details of the above.....wish I could share the whole story with you, but absolutely am forbidden to. That's the only hard part-- b/c my experience might help some of you. However, if I notice posts that are pertinent, I will give you the pro referral you need. Sorry for the mystery, but it must remain as such.
Today I am grateful for the beautiful new public library that opened in my city a few weeks ago - it's clean, bright, filled with many new & restored books, and is positively buzzing with people of all generations, nationalities & walks of life. I love the big open reading area, the multitude of available computers, the automated checkout system, the café & Friends of the Library bookstore. It is a true community center & I'm grateful for all the people who worked so hard to make it happen!

I'm sure I could go on and on about what all I am thankful for. It would not be so hard to do. I'll try not to type a whole chapter now. I am thankful to make it through another day. That does mean I still have breath. (whether feeling ok or not) I am thankful I can praise God and read the Bible without having to hide to do it and hope I don't get caught. (like some places) Of course, I am thankful to have the chuch, the actual building, and the members. Ok. I can say family as well. I can say my dog and my 2 parakeets. In fact, the parakeets are making noise now. I am thankful I can hear, smell, touch, and talk.(and so forth) Yep! I am thankful I can hear my birds making noise now. That does mean they still have life now. I am not thankful I have got IC, but I am thankful I am not gonna croak from it.(and no pain for me) Ok, then. I am thankful to have the message boards as well. I am not thankful I have got sinus trouble and could stand to wipe my nose, but I am thankful I went and bought some more Kleenex the other day.(and no sinus pressure) Ok. I am even thankful it is sunny and 72 now.

I am amazed daily at how beautful a world god has created for us to live in. I woke today to find my world cover in a layer of fresh snow it is so pretty before it gets all makered up. (it is also nice I don't have to go out in it today unless i decided to go for a walk in it). I believe that even though may of us suffer from IC and many other conditions that there is a prupose in it for us, even though we may have no idea what it maybe, it could be meeting a person, getting up to appreciate things etc. I know my veiws are not everyones, I am not intending to offend anyone, everyone is entiled to their own veiws. I am greatful i have a relationship with god and others people here do to that I can share my feelings with.

I'm thankful for my urogyn...even though it costs a frustrating amount of money to see her without insurance. I've been having problems both on the uro end and the gyn end and she didn't have any appointments until December. So they scheduled me with the NP on Wednesday...well she had no idea what to do with my IC and wanted me to see the doctor...something happened to open up with the other doctor for Friday, so I took it. I never saw her before, but I was sure she'd be fine. Then my doctor came in to see me instead...she said "Here I am!" I thought it was so nice of her. I'm thankful I only went 5 mos without being diagnosed with IC, not years, because of her.

I'm thankful that (for now) at the office they won't be reducing the size of my cubicle! (they say they have no plans for now-which is great as if they decide to do this side of the office building, filing cabinets will be everywhere.
Also, even though I love the holidays, all the cooking and cleaning and getting ready for Christmas is going to be a chore. For Thanksgiving, I usually cook enough so that I don't have to cook for the rest of the weekend and Friday I clean the living room/den from top to bottom and get it ready for Christmas-by the time I get back to work on Monday I will be one very tired little girl!!

I am thankful that my son, his wife, and my grand-dog will be arriving tomorrow and spending Thanksgiving with us. They live just far enough away (170 mi) that I don't get to see them near as much as I'd like!

I am Thankfull that I finished Cooking my Thanksgiving Dinner by 4 pm on Thursday. Because at 20 after 4 , My power went out till this morning.
Due to a tree falling and crashing down the power lines up in the mountains where I live.
Called the emergency phone number for the power company and they told me they would have to try to get a crew to come into work and come out to these back wood boonies in the dark and repair the line.
Dinner was great tho.

I am thankful that my health is as good as it is. While I have to see a lot of doctors, take a lot of medicine & restrict my activities, I still enjoy life & am able to do many things. I have a loving family. I am able to work & have good health insurance(!).

I am very thankful that Thanksgiving is over. Don't get me wrong, love the holiday, but between the cooking, and cleaning the house to get ready for Christmas, I over did it. (and still not finish-next week hopefully). I didn't think I was going to make it in to work this morning as last night I was in so much pain (back mainly). But I am here so that I can rest; (not really, but that is what a few of us said that we come to work to rest after the weekends that we had).
