Hello
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I could modify this pre-IC recipe? I really miss this...

I used to use a mini Boboli crust, put tomato sauce on it, then layer lots of veggies on top (broccoli, grated carrots, grated zucchini, mushrooms), & cover it with cheese.

I'm not sure about the Boboli (haven't tried it yet), but do know the tomato sauce is a very bad idea. I figure the veggies would be okay (no onion-sad. but oh well), and mozzarella cheese would work for the topping...

What could I use as a base to "glue" the veggies to the crust?? Alfredo sauce was bad for me back in Sept, have been too scared to try it again...

Any chefs out there with suggestions??

Hi Kadi,

Maybe some ricotta cheese?

I am able to tolerate a homemade white pizza, I use olive oil and garlic and spices (italian blend type, they do not seem to bother me) then i put on the mozzerella (lightly, cheese is hard for me) and my veggies, yum. Have you tried prelief with the pizza, I can have one peice of red pizza if i take 2 to 4 prelief. Good luck:thumbsup:

Spinach Pizza is about the only pizza I can tolerate. It's made with olive oil instead of tomato sauce and topped with cooked spinach and mozzerella. You might think spinach is gross but I don't like spinach and I love spinach pizza for some reason.

Hi_
I sure do miss pizza/pasta!
I purchase plain pizza crusts and brush olive oil on it and then put on a layer of mozza cheese the veggies, cheese. It sure isn't the same without the sauce, but it does fill the void!
take care

We order pizza sometimes --- I just order it without the tomato sauce. I especially like sausage pizza. We used to order a regular one for the rest of the family and a small "no sauce" for me, but after family members tasted mine, they decided they like it without the sauce. I'm never tempted to try sauce because I am terribly allergic to tomato in any form.

Thank you so much for all the ideas! I think I might try mixing spinach with ricotta - kind of a lasagna flavor idea & then top with mozzarella:) I'll let you guys know about my experiments!
