Hello,
I have a weird thing going on now that my chiro thinks may be related to my IC. I have some strange mild shooting pain in my left leg that is making it difficult for me to put pressure on it and walk. She feels that because I'm in a flare right now, my nerves are just reacting all the way down to my leg. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Even after an adjustment, I am not able to put full pressure on the leg and nothing like this has happened to me before. This is in my left leg, but I also have some mild pain in my right leg. Help!

I have not had this happen to me, but it is not uncommon to have referred pain in different parts of the body. It would probably be a good idea to call the doctor who is treating your IC symptoms and ask about this; especially if it continues or gets worse.

Have you talked to your primary care doc about this? Sometimes pain similar to what you describe can be sciatica, which can be treated.

Thanks ladies. I woke up this am and could walk on my leg just fine with no pain, so I don't know what that was all about.

I get similar issue on right side and I think it becuase of the way I hold my body becuase I am in pain. It affects the nervous by being twisted and such when I am curled up or pulling my legs close to me

That's good to know. It may have been something similar for me, as it happened first as I was getting up from lying on the couch. Thank you!

Glad you are feeling better. Whenever I have a flare (going on eight days now), the pain shoots down the inside of both legs. Drives me nuts!
Wishing you well on your journey.
God Bless.

Yes, I get pain in my left hip to my left knee when ever the pain really picks up in my bladder. All of my pain is always on the left side. I passed a kidney stone through my left kidney and ureter and my bladder pain is lower left too. As soon as the pain picks up it goes into my hip, leg and knee. It gets so bad that I limp from it. As soon as the pain in my bladder calms down so does the left leg pain.

I have a similar nerve-feeling pain in my right leg that comes and goes.

Mine refers to my legs but more often my feet! A good PT with pelvic floor familiarity like people on these boards talk about can help figure out where it's coming from and if there's anything extra you can do to calm it down.

I'm glad your doing much better. I've pain something like yours but, mine is in my hip. I told my URO what was going on and she told me that some people with iC can have pain in parts of their body. IC can be a strange thing:loco:
