Hello I'm Jan.

I was diagnosed with IC 14 months ago.

My symptoms are: 1. I have CONSTANT PRESSURE to urinate. It NEVER, ever goes away. When I actually sit on the toilet, sometimes nothing comes out, sometimes it's just tiny bit, and sometimes I actually urinate. But as soon as I am finished, I STILL feel like I have to urinate.

When I try to sleep at night, my bladder awakens me, feeling as though it is going to burst, feeling super full. But sometimes nothing comes out, and sometimes it does. I am only able to sleep about 1 1/2 hours at a time. I basically don't sleep much at all because it is hard to go back to sleep feeling like I have to urinate.

2. My other symptom is "razer blade" pain in my urethra.

I have been on elmiron for one year and atarax for 2 months.


Will anyone please share with me their thoughts? I really am suffering. I appreciate ANY comments that might help me, please, thank you.
