Hi Ladies,
For all of you who have suffered from chronic yeast infections, try AZO Yeast. In college I had infections all the time, so when i'd go to the store for an OTC treatment i'd look at the AZO and just laugh and always went for the creams that hurt like heck.
After 2 years of chronic infections I broke down and tried the AZO. Ladies i have gone over a year without a yeast infection. As soon as I start feeling uncomfortable down there i start taking the AZO. I experience no side effects and the results are terrific. As soon as a friend confides in me they have a yeast infection, I immediately direct them to the store to purchase AZO Yeast.

Wow....I actually had terrible problems with the AZO yeast. It put me in a terrible flare. Maybe others will weigh in also.
I do better with a Diflucan once every couple of months and sometimes some OTC antifungal cream externally.

I'd be a little nervous to try it. I flared so bad from the OTC creams for yeast. I never test positive for yeast even though I have the symptoms. I used to get a lot of yeast infections though when i was younger. I'm pretty sure I have Vulvadynia. I use a topical anti-fungal, corizone cream that was prescribed by my MD. I do have a friend who has IC that uses AZO yeast though, and she doesn't have any problems with it. Is it a pill?

I'll look into it. Is it a probiotic? I was taking yeast guard (a probiotic) until I realized there was lactic acid in it.
I have one right now and the OTC cream (I also took two diflucan 3 days apart) seems to make me more irritated until it all comes out and the cycle starts over at night. I never had that happen before. Is that what happened to you?
I also used an RX cream that made me ache like I had the flu! Not fun!
I hate these infections :cussing: and the first couple days it was making me feel like I had to pee more...like I don't go enough as it is!

Yes, it is a pill and it is not like other Azo products, it is an homeopathic treatment with natural ingredients. I took it without any problem.
Good luck.

Well I went to their website, and they have a coupon, and you can take it everyday to prevent yeast as well. That is more what I'd like to take it for. I'll try it and report back. If it flares me I'll let you know. I can get my flares under control pretty quick most of time.

I do fine with the AZO for yeast. Actually it is the only one that so far has not made me flare..

I love Azo Yeast....I tend to need a lot of treatments since I am always on an antibiotic and my will power against sugar is non existent usually but I know it makes a big possitive difference.
I have done Diflucan but doc wanted that to end and is recommending a switch.
