I know that this will probably sound like a dumb question being an IC patient and all, but, where is the bladder located? Like, if I was trying to show someone where my bladder is located from the outside of my body, what area would I point to on my body? A few inches below the belly button? Right in the pubic area?......... Where is it?
Also, how would you define "bladder pain." I see many people post about having bladder pain. What does this feel like? What constitutes as bladder pain? Where would I be feeling the pain?.......in my pubic area? In my lower abdominal area?
Thanks for all of your help! :)

Your bladder is behind and just above your pubic bone - pretty much right behind where your pubic hair is in the front ;) If you check out this website, you'll be able to see a decent illustration of where it is: http://www.dhmc.org/webpage.cfm?site_id=2&org_id=818&morg_id=0&sec_id=0&gsec_id=42765&item_id=42767
As for a definition of "bladder pain" - well, there isn't one single way to describe that. People feel bladder pain in different ways. The most common is often pain right behind the pubic bone, kind of like a menstrual cramp or even stabbing pain there. HOWEVER, bladder pain can be felt higher up in the abdomen as well - and it can even be felt in the sides, back, and genital area depending on the person.

Straight down from your belly button, you'll find your pubic bone (just above your crotch). If you put your thumb in the center of that bone and slide your thumb just above that bone, that's where your bladder is located. It's behind that bone --- if you push there when flaring, you'll probably be able to feel pain from the pressing.

My pain is felt at the top of the Hair line , deep inside.
It does not feel like cramps. It feels like I was Punched and will double over from it.
Heat does Not help. :tsk:
Ice packs do !

WOW! It is so crazy that so many people have this disease and yet everyone reacts differently to just about everything.
I am SHOCKED that you use Ice to help you releive pain.
I can NOT stand cold, it sends my bladder into severe pain and spasms!
You just never know do you? That is what makes this place great, lots of information.
