visible blood but no infection

has anyone visually seen blood specks in their urine but have no infection?i saw a couple spots in my urine that looked like there was a dab of mucus mixed with it.i don't have an infection either.i am currently taking macrodantin 1 pill per day for long term.

I had visible blood during my most recent flare. Usually I have microscopic blood, but this time I could see it --- it was a small amount.

thanks donna for replying.even a visible speck of blood scares me and it usually burns too when i'm in a flare.i guess this is just a part of having an irritated bladder,epecially with flares.hope you are feeling better now.:angel:

I have had that also. No infection...just blood. It was only once.

You should talk to your doctor though. Blood in your urine isn't anything to take lightly.

Definitely talk to your doctor. I will be having ultrasounds of my kidneys to verify that there isn't a problem there -- my uro said she just wanted to confirm there is nothing going on there.
